Avocet Materials Group and CThru Metals, LLC have today signed a strategic partnership agreement. Avocet will provide sales and distribution services for CThru Metal’s range of expanded metal products for the European region.
This agreement launches CThru Metals’ expansion plan to service European customers from a central UK hub, as well as Avocet’s plan to diversify into new products. It will accelerate delivery turnaround and lower shipping costs for European manufacturers that require expanded metal material for aircraft lightning strike protection, battery cell materials, EMI shielding, fuel cells, and other applications.

CThru Metals has developed brand new technology for manufacturing expanded metal foils, with a focus on providing products for high performance applications in thickness below 0.5mm. Their world’s first AI enabled technology significantly improves the consistency of the final product and is expected to be widely adopted by end customers in Europe, such as those in the aerospace sector, (lightning strike protection), hydrogen generation, and niche battery applications.
Avocet Materials Group is a materials provider, with manufacturing, R&D, distribution and sales from the UK. They manufacture tab leads for lithium ion pouch cells, and are the UK’s largest distributor of battery foils. In addition, they provide sales, distribution and marketing services to manufacturers of raw materials.
